Quantifying Climate Change's Impact on Hurricane Sally's Precipitation

Python, PyNIO + PyNGL, numPy, Xarray

By utilizing PyNIO, PyNGL, numPy, and xarray, I quantified the impact of climate change on Hurricane Sally's precipitation, providing compelling evidence that supports the innovative CAM5 technology.

PyNIO and PyNGL, powerful multi-format data I/O packages, was used to extract information from netCDF3 files by employing a multidimensional array module.

By leveraging the capabilities of numpy, a numerical computing tool, and Xarray, a module that enables the management of labels on arrays, spatial and temporal mappings, etc. I generated 2D visualizations involving a comparative analysis between IMERG and CAM5 data, showcasing the impact of climate change on precipitation for Hurricane Sally.

The findings revealed a staggering 61.5% increase in precipitation, providing further evidence in support of the innovative CAM5 technology.
